• Ben Kruger is a seasoned banker with more than 30 years’ banking experience.
• He held various roles in SBG having joined the group in 1985, including chief executive of the group’s Corporate and Investment Banking division, group chief operating officer and joint group chief executive from March 2013 to September 2017.
• Ben was previously non-executive chairman of ICBC Standard Bank Plc and Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc.
• Ben is the executive chairman of Ruby Rock Investments Proprietary Limited, the lead independent director of Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Limited and a non-executive director of JSE Limited. He is also the chairman and member of the council of the University of Pretoria.
